A secondary wallet with a small balance designed to be surrendered under coercion while protecting the main holdings. Can be implemented via BIP-39 passphrases (different passphrase = different wallet) or separate seed phrases.
Technical Notes
BIP-39: base seed (decoy) + passphrase (real wallet). Attacker gets base seed wallet. Plausible deniability: can't prove additional wallets exist. Keep decoy balance realistic. Some hardware wallets support dedicated duress PINs that wipe device.
