A fungible token protocol for Bitcoin using OP_RETURN outputs to define token operations. Designed as a more efficient alternative to BRC-20, avoiding the 'junk' UTXO creation problem. Created by Casey Rodarmor (Ordinals creator).
Technical Notes
Runestones in OP_RETURN encode: etching (creation), mint, transfer operations. Uses integer encoding with LEB128. Edicts specify which outputs receive which runes. Cenotaphs are invalid runestones that burn all runes in inputs.
