Technical Notes
Written in C++. Major versions every ~6 months. Key features: UTXO set management, mempool policy, P2P networking, wallet. Governed by Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs). Other implementations (btcd, libbitcoin) must be consensus-compatible.
